animation is definitely more time consuming, comics aren't too much (depends on the style though; for example if it's a sci-fi series with gazillion details to everything it's doomed to be an endless construction site with each comic taking 2+ years to make)
these three pages are more of a concept art of what the setting might look like albeit quite shitty for le artist standarts
