Why are mangakas all incapable of writing good endings, or any ending at all?
Stories with good endings are so rare these days.
It's either romcom/low-fantasy trash that has been going for a billion volumes with no end in sight, or like AoT where everything is good and suddenly he decides he is going to write the ending while on drugs
I'm getting the urge to CHECK if a manga has ended before watching the anime.
Also who the fuck enjoys watching that? My friend bought EVERY volume of rent a girlfriend (40+) just to see MC get cucked and lose at the end. Is it stockholm syndrome? Sunk cost fallacy? I just don't get it

I enjoyed it a lot. Tbh I don't have much to say about it, I think it's very simple and straightforward while still having a meaningful message (unlike a lot of other vague, pretentious bullraisin that came out 15-30 years later). The only nitpick I have with the show is that Tetsuro should've used his gun more often to defend himself, would've saved him a lot of trouble especially against antagonists that were gonna die anyway.

from what I've seen so far, I think the movie manages to condense the multi-volume manga/anime quite well and still being able to carry the same message throughout, even if it leaves out a ton of stories that are present in the original work

Tetsuro is not only older in the movie, butas you've nitpickedwilling to use his gun a lot more, even if as a result he comes off as somewhat stubborn
I also very much enjoy the presence of other quintessential Leijiverse characters in the film

I think that any real anime fan should watch the '79 movie at least once, and maybe read or watch a different Leiji Matsumoto piece like Battleship Yamato or Captain Harlock

From what I have gathered its because Tanya is "Evil" and she's a hardcore capitalist libertarian so that must mean the author is a communist o algo. The thing is, Tanya isnt even Evil. The Title 'The Saga of Tanya the Evil' is only the English name for the series. Youjo Senki translates to "The Saga of the Little Girl at War" in English. Its just not as catchy so they made up an inferior title that miss represents the character. Anyways Zen himself said he likes the free market and democracy on social media so tankies just have to take this L over and over.
