I'm not even sure if Love is War is really romance because I just started it and I only read volume 1. To me it's more like a low-stakes drama between two nerds who think the stakes are high, it's more comedy/turn-your-brain-off than romance IMO. If you watch the English dub, you might find the narrator amusing or annoying. If he annoys you, don't bother watching it but try the manga.
