Shizuku Thread
time to read the "first VN" (Shizuku) to see if the thing that started the genre is actually good. I have no idea about the plot but that's ok. Anyway, I had to use an emulator to even get it to run.

The original translation was done by native Japanese speakers who learned English, while the remastered was done by native English speakers who learned Japanese
You may be tempted then to immediately jump into the remastered translation, which is fine, but both still have their merits
The original doesn't really attempt to localize anything into an English equivalent. It uses the romaji for anything Japanese. The character's names are also written in the Hepburn romanization as opposed to the Kunrei-shiki romanization the remastered uses. You can compare the two if you'd like.
The dialog in the original may come off more blunt and straightforward, while the remastered prefers to use the more metaphorical kind of writing used in the translation for Umineko. Ideally we'd have a mix of both, but oh well
Ultimately up to you, but I would go with the original

whenever i think of the fact that it's been 15 years since watamote came out, i get sad and that's weird since i'm not really an emotional person at all. this is because when you think about it, tomoko is in her 30s now and how has the world changed for the better? she is probably still a friendless actual femcel or however the tiktok foid is larped. things never got better and she's wasting her life probably being some kind of neet at 33 fucking years old. i'm just afraid that this is the fate of every single sperg chudcel on this site and whatever glorious ideological revolution (i'm just waiting for hoppeborea already) we think is coming or whatever romanticized future we have is just made up with 0% odds and will never happen award. you will never find the woman of your dreams in this world overfilled with normgroids. this world will only get more sterile and more normgroidcucked and you will be more and more of a slave.

I used to watch anime every now and then but now I can't sit through it without getting bored, watching things like movies seem much easier. I enjoy anime but it's more difficult to enjoy it because of a number of factors like it being in a completely different language and being animation rather than actual actors unlike western movies/shows. I know it's better but it requires more effort. I used to have no problem with that but now my brain is too fried because I'm a zoomer faggot. I need to fix it
