Need is a pretty strong word since the manga is already pretty good at drawing you in with its atmosphere, but a full cinematic experience would only improve that. While the short adaptations we already got were great at adapting individual things (the horror, the action, etc) they couldn't really convey the forebonding feeling of the journey, or the sheer size of the setting and how bizarre its wildlife and natural phenomena can be, because of how rushed they are. My favorite parts were the ones where Killy gets sidetracked and we see more of the city without the usual sense of urgency. I'd love to see those little moments in motion.
